NEPTUNE DIG KIT · AGES 6+
A blue planet. A colorful little collection.
Dig into the round Neptune block to uncover rose quartz, green aventurine, unakite, sodalite, and a blue plastic gem. Use the chisel to work around each find, then brush away the loose material.
The four natural stones are yours to collect. The diamond-shaped toy adds a different kind of find, and the Neptune poster gives you something to explore after cleanup.
THE FINDS INSIDE
Pink, green, blue—and a little sparkle.
Natural stones vary in size, shade and markings. Use the names and pictures as a starting point; your pieces will have their own details.

FROM PLANET TO COLLECTION
Follow the first glimpse of color.
Settle the block.
Read the package directions. Cover the table and make sure the round block is stable before your child starts scraping.
Dig around the edges.
Remove small amounts with the chisel. When a find appears, clear the material around it without prying against the piece.
Brush and set aside.
Clear loose residue, place each find in a separate spot, and count five before tidying the work area.
One child can dig while another brushes a recovered piece. There is one block and one set of tools, so shared play means taking turns.
IN THE BOX
The planet, tools, and paper extras.
Bring your own table covering and a small storage container. Keep the poster and magnet out of the digging debris until cleanup is done.

AFTER THE LAST FIND
Give your collection a place.
Set the cleaned pieces on your own sheet of paper and write their names underneath. Place the sodalite beside the plastic gem: both are blue, but one has pale markings while the other has flat faces.
Let your child choose the arrangement and introduce a favorite piece. Add a “My Neptune Dig” title if you like. Paper labels and a display container are optional additions from home.
Then unfold the poster.
Find Neptune’s place in the solar system. The eighth planet takes about 165 Earth years to orbit the Sun.[1] The planet is the kit’s theme; these stones come from Earth.

AGE, SETUP, AND STORAGE
A little help at the table.
For ages 6 and up. Choking hazard: small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
An adult should supervise tool use and follow the package directions. Keep the small pieces and digging material away from younger children, eyes and mouths.
Collect the debris and wash hands after play. Store dry finds and small accessories in a closed container; keep the poster flat or gently rolled.

Is this a full solar system kit?
This set contains one Neptune-themed block and a Neptune poster. It does not include the other planets.
Does it include a display case or jewelry parts?
