The CPSC report published on April 20, 2026, estimated that 267,100 toy-related injuries were treated in U.S. hospital emergency departments during 2024. About 175,400 involved children aged 12 or younger, and about 91,600 involved children aged four or younger. The head and face accounted for 45% of the estimated injuries. “Toy-related” means a toy was linked to the incident; it does not prove that the toy was the only cause.[4]
